After luch we move to New Delhi and visit Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, Akshardham temple and a drive along the Rajpath, passing the Presidential Residence, India Gate and the Diplomatic Enclave. We then go back to the hotel for the dinner and night stay.
A drive to Agra after breakfast from Delhi begins; the journey along the beautiful countryside will be a constant reminder of the Mughal Empire that had flourished in this region. This erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire has a whole lot to offer to its visitors. But before we reach Agra we pay a visit to Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra, the architecture in that place is a blend of Islam, Hinduism, Budhism and Jainism. After arriving at Agra we check the guests in a hotel and then visit the Agra Fort, another architectural marvel. The red sandstone has many stories to tell and from there one can see the beautiful Taj Mahal in a faraway distance. The trip of Agra on the third day ends with a visit to Itmad-ud-Daula, the tomb that was built by Empress Noorjahan in the memory of her father. The guests are then taken to the hotel and they are free to explore the Agra market and then retire to the hotel for the night.
The day begins with an optional early visit to the Taj Mahal and witness the sunrise, which will leave you awestruck or the guests can have breakfast and then visit the magnificent Taj, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was commissioned by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mamtaz Mahal. The journey then continues for Jaipur but on the way we make a trip to the one time capital of the Mughal Empire during Emperor Akabr’s reign Fatehpur Sikri. The towering Buland Darwaza and the palaces inside it will captivate you. On arrival at Jaipur the guests will be taken to the hotel where they can retire for the night or make a visit at the Chokhi Dhani to get the feel of the Rajasthani village lifestyle with authentic Rajasthani cusine and the folk dance and songs. That night the guests will stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
The day starts with an early breakfast and then an elephant ride, which will take the guests to the top of the Amber Fort. The fort is a blend of Mughal and Rajansthani architecture, and though now abandoned one can still feel the power of that place. A brief visit to Jal Mahal and the ride on a camel back on the Aravalli hills along the lake. Post lunch the tour resumes with a visit to the City Palace, where the royal family now resides and is a t the heart of the Jaipur city, next visit is at the Hawa Mahal which is once again another architectural spectacle, a five storied building, built in the shape of honeycomb. A tour of Jipur would be incomplete without a visit to the City Palace Museum and the Jantar Mantar(the astronomical observatory). Then the guests are taken to the hotel where they will retire for the night, the guests can visit the Jiapur market on their own if they wish.
The last stop in the Golden Triangle Tour is at Pushkar from Jaipur. The day begins with a leisurely breakfast and the guests are then taken to Pushkar. Pushkar is a small holy city in the Ajmer district; on the arrival at Ajmer the guests are checked in a hotel and then take to the holy shrine the Dargah of Saint Harzrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti. The guests are also taken to the Pushkar Lake, the Brahma Temple and the Ghats, one will also have the chance to see the amazing camel fair at Pushkar. The guests then head back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
